Friday 27th January at 11.15pm, my wonderful Grandad Charles, peacefully left this world. He was 99. His loving family surrounded him and held a constant vigil in his last week and let him know how special and loved he was. My grandad was the true, original gentleman. Everyone loved him, including me. He told me not to give up on my dreams, and was a huge part of why I achieved them. He came from very humble beginnings and fought through adversity that most today would struggle with, all without fuss or complaint. He was a war hero but believed in peace. He walked miles to court my Nan, simply to see her for a few hours - that's romance. And he raised a family with his beloved wife and ensured we all had what they never did, and I promise that it wont be wasted and I'll continue to try and make you proud everyday. I'll miss you but I know you're at peace and with your sweetheart again. Nan probably has some jobs waiting for you!😍😍😅 Love you Grandad, I will make sure people always hear your name ❤️❤❤
